Systems don't have feelings :(
Tue, Feb 3 - 6:32 PM
It’s 40 minutes into the session.
The JPM trade I bought right before yesterday’s close is already up 100%.
+$10,300
Bought after the Bull Surge trigger confirmed. 4-2 over the last two years with 286% total return.
Even told members I wasn’t missing it.
Shares are bucking the broad market weakness.
I wanted to sell, but the system says take profits at 40%.
This is 100% -- that 40% threshold only confirms 15 minutes to the close.
Market is getting weaker.
Now that MU trade from two weeks ago is raring its head up. Made 200%, sold in the morning, ended up closing 500%.
That’s a lot of money left on the table.
Great, shares are pulling back.
$8,500.
Maybe we get a bounce.
MU I shot from the hip. Like a cowboy.
JPM, I followed the system and it’s working.
Now $7,500.
See Josh, should’ve sold em.
Now $4,000.
Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
Now I tell myself what I’d tell anyone else; That’s trading.
Doesn’t make me feel better, it’s the ongoing battle of emotions and voices. It’s exhausting just dealing with that.
Have no choice but to let this play out.
You do all the right things and the market still robs you.
Rode the dip all the way down. Profits erased.
One minute you’re a genius. Next one you feel like a dope.
Late in the session, shares climbed back.
Sold em 2 minutes to the close near the highs.
+$10,000.
Systems don’t have feelings, but I do.
